Lit C.R.E.W. (Connect. Read to Research. Explore. Wrap-Up.) is a dynamic program for educators eager to transform literacy instruction through the Science of Reading and project-based learning. This 2-hour course empowers educators with strategies to foster critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration in their students.


Participants will explore evidence-based practices in literacy, including building background knowledge, vocabulary, and verbal reasoning, while learning to engage students in meaningful, real-world projects. The course breaks down the Lit C.R.E.W. framework into actionable steps: connecting students to content, guiding research-based reading, encouraging exploration through projects, and wrapping up with public speaking, constructive feedback, and reflection.
