In STEM Educators Academy we strive to meet each afterschool program where they are in their STEM teaching practice.

STEM Educators Academy offers customized coaching, free access to training, and a sliding scale grant award to at least 35 program middle school sites a year. We ask applicants in the summer and fall of the school year to self-identify which type of support is best suited for their needs. Your site's tier placement and grant award is based on your program’s responses to the questions below.

You should have received your tier placement in the email that contained your acceptance letter. If you are unable to locate it or are not sure of your tier placement, please reach out to STEM Educators Academy program staff Fran Agnone ([email protected]) or Antoineta Meekins ([email protected]). 

Our expectation is that, over time, programs move through the tiers until they gain independence, where they can share their expertise back with new sites in the program. As of 2022, 10 of our partner sites have become independent in their practice.
